Erbium Skin Resurfacing

1 hour 30 minutes
Laser skin resurfacing is a popular procedure for reducing wrinkles, scars, and skin discoloration. It works by directing short, concentrated beams of light at the irregular skin, vaporizing the epidermis (outer layer) of the skin, and heating the underlying dermis. As a result, new collagen fibers are produced, resulting in smoother and firmer skin. The process is also known as lasabrasion, laser peel, or laser vaporization. People who may be a good candidate for this procedure include those with acne or chickenpox scars, uneven skin pigmentation, birthmarks, age spots, sun-damaged skin, fine lines or wrinkles around or under the eyes, forehead or mouth, or enlarged oil glands on the nose. The recovery time for laser skin resurfacing is typically a few days and may involve some redness or swelling.

Intense Pulse Light (IPL)

1 hour
Our laser/IPL technology makes it possible to reduce the effects of sun exposure, improve skin texture, and remove unwanted veins, hair, and tattoos. Intense pulsed light (IPL) therapy, or photofacial, is a way to improve the look and feel of your skin without surgery. Photoaging often causes visible damage to the face, neck, hands, or chest, but IPL can reverse it. This treatment uses light energy to target certain colors in the skin. When the skin is heated, the body gets rid of the cells it doesn't need, which eliminates the problem. Unlike lasers, IPL devices emit more than one wavelength of light, making it possible to treat a variety of skin conditions at once. IPL can also help reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, pigmentation, stretch marks, acne, freckles, discolored skin, rosacea, scars, and spider veins. Post-treatment, the skin looks younger with a more even tone. Since the light does not hurt other tissue, results can be seen quickly.

Laser Hair Reduction

45 minutes
Laser hair removal is a popular medical procedure for removing unwanted hair using a focused beam of light. The heat generated by the laser is able to damage the hair follicles, inhibiting or delaying future hair growth. It is most successful for people with lighter skin and darker hair, but it can be used on all skin types. Initial treatments may require multiple sessions, and maintenance treatments may be needed as well. While laser hair removal can lead to long-term hair reduction, it is not usually able to achieve permanent hair removal.

Laser Tattoo Removal

1 hour
Tattoo removal using lasers is an effective technique for reducing the appearance of unwanted tattoos. The laser works by breaking up the pigment colors with a high-intensity light beam. Black tattoo pigment absorbs all laser wavelengths, meaning it is the easiest to treat. Depending on the pigment color, other colors may require specific lasers to treat. The number of treatments required for a tattoo depends on age, size, and color of the tattoo, as well as the color of the skin and how deeply the pigment goes. With the right laser, tattoos can be removed with minimal side effects.

Vascular Reduction

1 hour
Vascular Reduction for spider veins and broken blood vessels is a non-invasive laser treatment performed on the face and body to treat spider veins and broken blood vessels. The treatment works by using a long pulse YAG laser to emit a beam of light onto the targeted area, which heats up and destroys the vessel walls without damaging the surrounding tissue. When the energy from the laser is absorbed by the blood vessels, they coagulate and eventually disappear. The treatment is relatively quick, typically taking 10 minutes or less, and can be used on all body skin types and areas.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Where do we use fillers
HA fillers are used to brighten the tear troughs, fill in etched lines, in the lips, and around the mouth. CaHA fillers are used to build a bony contour in the cheeks, jawline, and chin. When CaHA is diluted, it can be used on the face, neck, décolletage, arms, thighs, elbows, abdomen, and buttocks.
How long do they last
HA fillers last anywhere from 6-18 months, and CaHA fillers last 18 months when used for volume replacement. When diluted, CaHA can be used to improve skin tone, texture, and elasticity. The patient can maintain these results for years.
Does it hurt
Fillers can be sensitive in certain areas, mostly the lips. We use our triple numbing technique to make this procedure as comfortable as possible. Other areas, such as the chin, jawline, cheeks, and tear troughs are not generally painful but may be mildly uncomfortable.
When will I see results
Immediate results are seen following filler treatments. Leave the office rested, refreshed, and with a more youthful appearance.
FAQs

Dermal fillers are injectables used to plump areas where volume is lost due to aging, genetic factors, or sun damage. There are many types of dermal fillers, but we use hyaluronic acid (HA) and calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) primarily. While there are many kinds of aesthetic options for anti-aging, CaHA provides results beyond hyaluronic acid’s ability. While HA fillers fill in depleted spaces, that is the extent of their actions. CaHA, on the other hand, is the only injectable option that gives you immediate results plus long-term improvement because it stimulates collagen and elastin production. Both fillers have great benefit and results, and location is the main determining factor of which filler is used. Our board certified nurse practitioner, Brittany Holcomb, FNP-C, utilizes the most up-to-date techniques and advanced technology to reverse time and provide a natural, youthful appearance.
